Whether a person joins the N.F.B. for political reasons or not,
politics is an important part of the movement.  I used to be a lot
more politically involved in the N.F.B. than I am now because for
my part, it is not what the N.F.B. does on the outside that
concerns me as we all know there is discrimination against the
blind and we all would like it solved, but rather it is the
internal politics that concerns me.  Presenting a united front is
one thing, but stifling all criticism in the name of unity is
quite another.
