Subject: Re: File size limit
Okay, to put this one to rest semi-quickly:
TSE Pro 2.5 has a 64meg file size limit
TSE Pro 2.8 is limited by the Windows Virtual Memory
As Chris explained, in order to use all of the VMS in 2.8, you will
need a large VMS area to work with.
Also, remember that with 2.5 there are depencies on the structure of
the file that is being edited. For each line that is being edited at
least 1K is allocated. So, if you have a file that has lines of 80
bytes or less, it is possible to run out of memory more quickly
because for each line there would be 944 bytes per line that wasn't
being used. (The issue does get a little more complicated than this,
but I think you get the general idea.)
