Subject: Re: Why the NFB?
If something doesn't conform with the national agenda, it is either not
done, or strongly discouraged. I have never seen the NFB fight to keep
the buses, all the buses, running my area, nor has it fought to make sure
paratransit service throughout this country is truly up to snuff.
I find that sort of ignoring transportation issues to0 be hypocritical at
best.
The organization is indeed autocratic, and I feel sorry for its
membership, because, throughout the years, it has done quite a lot of
good, but in very narrow sorts of ways.
Most blind people still live without work and in poverty.
