VE
Volunteer examiner. In the U.S., amateur radio licensees who are
accredited by a VEC to administer amateur radio license exams. To be
eligible to become a VE, you must be at least 18 years of age, hold
a valid General, Advanced, or Amateur Extra Class license...and that
icense has never been suspended or revoked. For more information, see

VEC
"Volunteer Exam Coordinator". Examples include the ARRL
(http://www.arrl.org) and W5YI (http://www.w5yi.org).

VFO
Variable Frequency Oscillator. An operation mode in which the operator
can change frequency freely.

VHF
(very-high frequency). The frequency range 30-300 MHz.

VOX
"Voice Operated Relay"; allows the presence of a sound to trigger the PTT.
Use with caution, as you could say something over the air that you may
regret!!
