WOA! '03 with traffic? It was around '03-'04 that I started snooping around
again, and I doubt there was anyone but me dialing in to either of these
boards. We used to be the high speed modem per-capita capital of Canada -
or if it was North America, I forget - when a high speed modem was
considered 14.4.

My first modem, was a 2400 fax/data dealie. When it spent more time online,
and I couldn't depend on finding a non-busy phone line to call, I thought
I'd start my own board to ensure mail delivery. The fella that offered me
gratis I-net, was multi-line, I believe with those mechanical cylindrical
switching doohickies. I entered a UPS promo offer, and set him up with a
couple of UPSes. That's when he upgraded my free shell account, to PPP.
(...Or if it was SLIP, I forget.)

Forgive my memory, but you suffer from CF?

Me, operated on for a Lipo Sarcoma, where - we suspect - I developed a
fibroid neuroma from the surgery.
