There are a couple of possibilities that I can think of (a) for some
reason you are getting a different copy of TSE becuase something changed
your path when you installed 95, (b) there is a video driver conflict
that is causing the colors to be mapped incorrectly. These are the two
leading causes related to these types of problems.
There are two things that you can use to determine which type of problem
you are encountering:
(1) Open a DOS window, then switch to full screen mode by pressing . Now start TSE and see if the colors show up correctly. If the
colors do show up correctly this would indicate a problem with the
windows video driver.
(2) After starting the editor and loading a file, use
to determine the copy of the editor that is loaded -- you should be able
to get the full path to the current executable that is being executed.
Make certain that this is the one that you thought was running.

That is correct. For a long time before the console version was heavy
testing, we used the standard DOS version under Win95. In fact, even
after I started testing the console version I still used the DOS version
for answering my mail. So, SemWare is quite certain the DOS version
works properly under Win95 -- from practical use.
One way or the other, either SemWare or myself should be able to help
you figure this one out.
