From: "Chris Antos (Exchange)"
different display drivers use different color palettes. you can try
changing your TSE colors, or changing your display driver. better yet,
just use TSE 2.8. i never ever use DOS anymore except in a DOS box,
which is running under Windows so TSE 2.8 works fine.
you mentioned you "can't get TSE to accept the colors" you select. what
do you mean? and what is the "SETUP Option"?

Subject: Using TSE 2.5 in a WIN95 Window
I have just upgraded to WIN95, from WIN 3.11. When I run TSE 2.5 after
clicking on MS-DOS PROMPT under "PROGRAMS" (i.e., in a WIN95 Box), I get
a
different color scheme than when I use TSE under real DOS. For example,
the cursor line is unreadable until I go to the next line, because of
lack
of contrast. When I try to change the colors using the SETUP Option, I
can't get TSE to accept the colors I select.
I thought I'd read on this list that TSE2.5 runs fine under WIN95,
except
for long filenames (which I've never used and can do without). I'd
prefer
to use only one version of TSE on my system, and I assume v.2.8 won't
run
in plain DOS.
Many on this list made the switch to WIN95 long ago, hence perhaps you
could share what you learned about this matter. Thanks in advance,
Eric
