ST> But then if we could use three, people would want four, and then
ST> on and on. :) I think two is perfect since it basically allows you to
ST> have dual-class characters without penalty. Triple-class characters are
ST> a little too much in my opinion. Add that to the Reaction, Support, and
ST> Move customizable abilities and the characters are perfectly
ST> customizable without it getting too complex or frustrating. Even with
ST> having five ways to customize my characters I still at times agonize
ST> over which abilities to give which characters at which point in time.
I guess you have a point there...
ST> -> Tactics Ogre? Well, from what I saw.. It looks exactly like FFT and
ST> -> VandalHearts... Which brings me to a point.. I see FFT as Square's
ST> -> way to saying to Konami -> Your RPG was good.. but here's what Square
ST> -> can do! :)..
ST>
ST> ...And I applaud it. FFT is simply incredible, especially
ST> considering that it has come out on the heels of FF7. It just proved to
ST> me that Square puts quality into every title when they could have simply
ST> churned out a quick and dirty fight game just to reap a quick buck off
ST> of FF's popularity. Instead they put out a very polished, very addictive
ST> strategy RPG that fully captures the integrity and atmosphere of FF.
Yeah, that's cool.. I haven't played one game from Squaresoft and got
disapointed..
ST> As for as Tactics Ogre goes, if it is in the style of FFT and
ST> Vandal Hearts I am on Cloud 9! That would be so great! And it might even
ST> convince me to give Ogre Battle another try...nah... :)
Well, from the commercials here and there I see in magazines, it looks
xactly
the same.. The dialog box, the "place your doldier b4 you play" and all
at..
ST> -> one gets sucked up in a black hole or somethin) while the other..
ST> -> well, you'll see (unless you already saw).. It's the same thing...
ST> -> then you see him again, and it's like! Wow.. he's still alive...
ST>
ST> Thanks for trying to spoil the game for me. :( For your
ST> information I am still on Chapter One since I've restarted the game
ST> three times now because I keep getting these ideas on how to develop the
ST> best characters and you can really only do that before we're too deep
ST> into the game.
Truely sorry, but I really said nothing to you :)... All I said is that in
VandalHearts, the guy gets sucked into a blackhole kinda thing.. but I said
nothing about FFT.
ST> The first time I went with the standard party, but the standard
ST> party came with characters that either had high Bravery or Faith, so it
ST> was difficult to change them between the Fighter and Magic User classes,
ST> so I restarted;
ST> The second time I dismissed four of the characters right at the
ST> beginning of the game and hired some that had a high and balanced
ST> Bravery/Faith rating. Much better! Characters who could equally fight
ST> and cast magic. But...I noticed disparities in the effects of magic
ST> which I found out was caused by bad zodiac alignments...so back to the
ST> drawing board...
ST> This third group is the best for me. Four males, four females.
ST> High, well balanced Bravery and Faith, and of compatible alignment with
ST> each other - my perfect team! Five members to form my "A-team" to go
ST> into battle with, and the extra three to form my "B-team" to send out on
ST> propositions. Now it's time to play for real! :)
ST>Okay, okay, so am I addicted to this game or what?!?
heck ya!! :) I started my game.. and well, jsut took the guys they gave me,
didn't bother checking the Zodiac Signs and all that.. the bravoury, the
Faith.. Maybe I got really lucky! ;)
