  Yeah, but Turok probably couldn't have been done successfully without the 
mature factors.  Your character is called a Dinosaur Hunter!  His only job is 
to kill dinos, and possibly anyone else that tries to stop him.  While Duke 
is certainly out to kill aliens in his game, they at least have some 
protection.  Last I checked, most dinosaurs (even the cybernetic ones in 
Turok) don't wear Kevlar.
  Also, consider the themes.  Both Duke 3D and 64 are cartoon-like, both in 
the plot as a whole and in their visual representation.  Turok, on the other 
hand, is presented more realistically (in-game, at least).
