Hi,

No; theoretically possible but you would need two parallel ports on each
machine. On the A500, only really the floppy port network is viable.. good
luck finding one of those for sale anywhere.. :-/

AMA> I'd like to link several A500's but if it needs extra HW (eg. LAN

If you are really masochistic, you can use TCP/IP. Connect the first A500
to your network using PLIP (parallel port TCP/IP interface). Connect the
second A500 to the first using SLIP (serial, obviously), then you can
connect a third A500 to the second using PLIP again.

As I said, masochism. I *have* done this, for kicks. It is slow, but not
too bad all considered. The real problem is setting up the TCP/IP
routing... (and, after loading Miami, there's not much RAM left on a 1MB
A500 - which is all any of mine have).

Hmm.. If you have some decent A500s (some RAM and hard disks), this could
be your solution. You would be limited to the serial port speed, maybe
5KB/s on the 68000, but it would work.
