subject: Call from the CEO

From: Richard B.

I am getting a call from a CEO (not Steve Barkto, uh Rick Segal, lol) about
their email appliance. It meets most of my needs but not all...one thing
it doesn't do is image recognition, those sheep photos consume a lot of
bandwidth.

My question is...if you use an email filtering appliance, what features
would you like? A/V, spam, etc, are a given, but is there anything else?

I'd like to be able to strip out text if need be instead of canning an
email because if has the "f" word addressed to a sensitive
employee.

I'd like to be able to strip out links to exploited websites, basically
anything to protect the network. I want chain mail (getting to know your
friends), jokes (Maxine), hoaxes (Penny Brown), and all that rot flushed.
Yeah, I can set filters, etc., but few filters do this automatically and
for the latest stuff.

Anyhow this will be a good opportunity to get Word to The Man.

Ideas?

Btw, I hate AOL. When they go out of business we should have a global throw down.
