| subject: | Windows Max Memory |
From: "Glenn Meadows" OK, here's a question for you. Windows 2000 Server. Is it limited to 3gig or so RAM useable? We have several Dell 2850 servers, that allow up to 12gig of ram in 6 slots of 2 gig each (has to be installed in pairs). The question is, will 2k server be able to use anything more than 3 or 3.5 gig as the Crucial.com web site advises, or do we need to consider upgrading to Windows 2003 64 bit server? AND if we do that, will the existing 32 bit apps be able to utilize that memory if needed? Thanks. -- Glenn M. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 5030/786 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
