From: "John Beamish" Good link! Yeah, it has a storied past. There's a tradition that only players on the winning team are allowed to hold the cup above their heads. The cup makes a regular tour so people can have their pictures taken with it but when you get to hold it, you're told in no uncertin terms (as a buddy of mine was) that you can hold it, but you cannot raise it. During the summer, the cup also goes to each player on the winning team for a day.
