Alan was hit by a Randy Johnson fastball for uttering:
EG>> B-A-L-O-N-E-Y. Todd, the God, Zeile wasn't worth 137 GD runs.
AH> By himself, of course not.
Oh, Todd, the God, couldn't possibly account for 137 GD runs BUT Mike Bordick
can be the PRIMARY reason. Seems like you make your observations based on who
you like. The team's offensive drop is due FAR MORE to injuries and drops in
productions by others and NOT Bordick. Mike was a small drop in the bucket
when it comes to what happened.
AH> Surhoff wasn't a bum at third. He's no Matt Williams or Brooks
AH> Robinson, but most aren't.
He's a bum. If he wasn't, why was Johnson so adament about moving Ripken to
third? Why did they go after Zeile last year? They're hiding him where they
feel he can hurt them the least.
AH> Did I say he'd improve? No. I said that the Orioles are a better team
AH> with him at third
Davey Johnson didn't think so.
AH> I saw. It was wrong both times. :-)
Wrong. How can a team that loses 137 runs improve by 10 games with a player
that so weakens their offense that his defense isn't worth it? The team was
better off this year with Bordick and Ripken where they're at and not with
Ripken and Todd, the God or Stonehands Surhoff.
