I finally got it back . From Feb 25 to May 12. Instead of fixing it they
sent me a brand new 4x16x40 still in the box. Now I am itching to get out to
the range, but alas, I have to go to work for the rest of the week at least.
Oh well, soon.

Yes, I have heard many good things about leopould scopes, but they are
pretty darned expensive. I would like to have a Nikon also, but can't for
the same reason. Maybe someday.

Sounds like you ought to have enough room to find at least a couple of deer.
I have to go down to our place soon myself, but I have already waited long
enough for the stinking rattlers to be out. They better not bite me, my
venom is almost as bad at theirs.(.45 acp)
