Both modems U have been talking about are not good dos modems..

The WIN modems work well with any windows based applications while the USB 
modem isn't really talking to a com port... again there are windows drivers 
stearing windows applications to the data.

What U need is a goos old fashon modem... like a Courier... get one from ebay 
real cheap!!!

Or... download Argus and use it... it's a windows mailer and it's free!!!
