Have you noticed how Pat Summerall has become John Madden's parrot. Even when
John is obviously wrong, Pat will echo what he just said and then look like
a boob when John turns out to be wrong (Like last week when it was obvious
to everyone but Madden and Summerall that it was third down when Aikman
piked
the ball and Madden chastised him for it because it was *fourth* down and Pat
was there "Brak...Yes, what was he thinking. Brak."
Oh when Madden kept talking about how you don't see little kids at games any
more. "Brak, You're right, John." (You're wrong John)

I can't believe that Packer fans have made excuses for Edgar Bennett and how
it was his offensive line's fault that he wasn't doing as well as they
hought
that he should. Dorsey Levens has done so much more than Bennett (averaging
a yard more per carry than Edgar) and the Packers ARE better with him then
they are with Bennett. You can't use the excuse that the OL is better this
year because Levens averaged .7 more than Bennett last year behind the same
offensive line.

How stupid was Gus Frerotte. Until last weekend, there hasn't been a tie
in the NFL since 1989 and now there are two. Frerotte stupidly cost his team
by smashing his head into the wall in some kind of macho, moron move that
will live in the Hall Of Shame with Chris Webber's timeout.

Before you jump on the Big 10 bandwagon, consider this: they don't have the
best out of conference record. Ok, you're going to say "But they played such
a tough..." Puhleeze, they play a couple of decent teams a year and beat up
on as many bums as any conference. So, how did each conference do?

Congrats to Atlanta for moving McGriff, opening up a spot for Klesko and
giving them room to sign Brady Anderson.
Baloney to Atlanta for screwing that up by signing Andres "My career was
aved
by Coors Field" Galarraga and costing them a chance of signing Brady
nderson.
I haven't seen such a stupid move since Ted Turner was active. They keep up
appearances by talking about getting a cheaper outfielder like Otis Nixon

Otis Nixon will take them further from being a contender.

The Baseline
Had to laugh at how ESPN could even think of Atlanta as being their number
one team in the power rankings when they were 5-0 in games decided by 3
oints
or less and 1-0 in games decided by 10 points or more. The Lakers were 1-0

5-0 for those categories and obviously in possession of the better record in
the more significant category, wins by 10 or more points. Unless they turn it
around later in the year, Atlanta IS NOT a serious championship contender
because the champion WILL come from one of the leaders in 10+ wins.

While I like Green, I don't buy him as the record holder. He appeared in 11
games for a couple of minutes just to extend the streak.

Start looking over the contenders to find the next NBA champ because unless
Pippen gets some satisfaction, it will NOT be the Bulls. No matter how
foolishly
you believed that Jordan IS the Bulls, you'd have to be crazy to believe that
Jordan alone will win them another championship (Why do you think that he was
so adament about Pippen?). I hope that Pippen stays mad because I'd love to
see the Bulls fall flat on their face and the ones who expounded the theory
of "It's only Jordan" look as stupid as they sound.
