| subject: | config dhcp in Warp Connect |

Anyone have any pointers, ideas? The command to start the DHCP client manually is dhcpclnt lanX, replace lanX with the lan number of your adapter. (Or at least it used to be with TCP/IP 4.02t: it seems to have changed to dhcpstrt for TCP/IP 4.1....) Unfortunately, I found that OS/2 DHCP client didn't install proper routing tables, so since I generally don't let the lease on my IP address run out, I just assume it's going to be the same each time and configure the adapter to use that address directly instead of using the DHCP client. eg. my IP is 24.108.2.212 at the moment, so I tell TCPCFG that that's what the NIC's address is and let it play with that all the time, rather than telling it to configure it itself. ---* Origin: Xanadu: an odd little spot in Edmonton, Alberta (1:342/806) SEEN-BY: 396/1 632/0 371 633/260 262 267 270 635/444 506 728 639/252 @PATH: 342/806 2424/10 12/12 396/1 633/260 635/506 728 633/267 |
