I know I qualify as a learner. BG> BG> How about it? Anyone up to the challenge? I realize I'm probably two days late and a hundred dollars short, but I'd love to follow up on some decent lessons on PHP Programming. I used to write scripts fairly regularly in PHP, but have gotten away from it and Perl. Now, I have PHPexeOutput that I play around with PHP as well as a few scripts here and there on my website. I used to do some really cool stuff, like connecting to other web servers, reading their web pages and filtering the content, then re-writing it to be a part of my web page. (Think like RSS Feeds without having permission to snag their pages ;-) ) Similiiar methods would permit me to interface with the BBS and display information regarding who is online from my offsite web page. The neat thing about PHPexeOutput (I think that's the name, or just PHPoutputEXE or something like that...) is it runs a server that provides the PHP scripting and allows you to load pretty much any module you want, change the PHP.ini settings and test your script without having to bring the web server down, bring it up, etc. A lot easier to test PHP scripts in my opinion..... And when your done, you can distribute them to your family, friends, etc. as an EXE file! I have no idea how old this message is I'm replying to, I'm using a QWK mail door and aparently the dates are messed up.... All my PHP experience is self-taught, so any script I do is from trial and error. If it works on my system and not yours, you'll have to ask somebody who knows what they're doing to explain why.... (at least for the most part!) I'll have to look around to see what the tag name is for this echo and request it from my uplink.... ...
