I'm afraid this echo is about all but dead, but you might consider
advertising your friends computer in comp.sys.cbm newsgroup or list it on
ebay. A lot of old computers (Commodores included) are now becoming
collector's items, and some of the prices I've seen paid for some of these
things has been amazing! It might be worth a shot anyway.
