In that case it could be that the Avtek  has a problem with the NetComm M34F
modems.  Talk to NetComm about this as they handle both brands.  We had a
problem some time ago with an Avtek on our Macarthur BBS not connecting to our
NetComm E7 here properly.  It turned out the be the Avtek at fault and they
upgraded the Avtek free of charge.   

Well I did sent it in and it didn't make any difference. I still can't
log on both PCUG BBS's line one where, I am told< NETCOMM M34F's.
I didn't have any problem to log on your BBS this time, however I
could see on another message that you changed the modem. What you
using now?
