It's time for the monthly rules again.


                         CBM-128 ECHO RULES
                         Revised 22 Jan 2005

1) Flames or attacks on a person or their thoughts are not allowed.

2) This is a echo with an audience of all ages.  Language is to be at a
   Rated "G" level.

   a) the official language in this echo is English.

3) Topic of conversation is Commodore 128, and all of the modes offered.

   a) CP/M is on topic when in relation to the Commodore 128.

   b) Commodore 64 mode is also on topic.

   c) software for the CBM machines are on-topic.

   d) Hardware discussion is on-topic.

   e) engineering of hardware and software is permitted.

   f) Software support is always welcome.

   g) Illegal activity is NOT on-topic. This includes discussing pirated
      software, breaking of copy protection methods, and copyright
      violations of copying commercial software except where proof of
      original ownership is verifiable.

   h) Commodore emulation on *other* platforms is OFF-TOPIC.

4) Quote only what is necessary to maintain continuity of the message
   thread. Many sysops are still paying to bring this echo in for their
   users, and we need to do our part to keep their costs to a minimum.

5) Items for sale are allowed if selling for yourself, or a friend, and
   it is Commodore-128 related or can be used with a C-128.

   a) This applies to personal items for sale only, and is not to be
      used for commercial purposes.

   b) Telling some one you saw an item in a magazine from a company, or
      giving a telephone number for a source is permitted.

6) Please leave the moderating to the Moderator(s).  Do not reply to off-topic
   messages.  Moderator(s) will catch the message and deal with them.
   Just because you didn't see it doesn't mean it wasn't handled in netmail.
   Off-topic notices in the public echo are meant just as reminders to
   stay on-topic, and are NOT meant as reprimands or warnings unless
   stated as such.

7) Personal conversation and disputes shall be taken to netmail, and NOT
   openly discussed in the CBM-128 echo. If you do not have netmail
   access, my address is readily available, and you can send your opinions
   via snailmail for consideration. *ALL* opinions will be read and
   considered, even if your opinion differs with mine.

8) Aliases are allowed only if you have no other option on the BBS from
   which you post, but only temporarily.  This is a REAL NAME echo only.

  a) When an alias is used, please sign real name at the bottom of each
     message you post.

9) Moderator reserves the right to change any or all of the rules at any given
   time.  Advanced notice will not always be possible.
