Hell man you are crazier than I am. I was thinking along the lines of 2
inches mixed with shale. I have a mixer and a shale mine. I have already
built a patio of the stuff and few feet of garden paths. Its was a lot of
work. The ground on the "airfield" is very spongy. If you remember a few
years back I was talking to Joe Sangemino on this topic and he suggested I
look for some used belts from one of the rock crushers that abound in this
area. I have had leads on two of them so far but they are narrow and full of
rips and tears. It would cost a bundle to get them hauled out to the field.
I could never get a conrete truck out there, We sunk a steam shovel on one of
the digs. That one cost me a bundle as well.
I have thought about trying to get a lead on some stuff that they use to
stablize the slopes on a mine. this stuff is a spray on but I don't know how
long it lasts.

The ashphalt rigs would have the same problem but may be the best bet in the
long run. I would only lay about 8 foot in width and call ot a road but as
you say there would be maintenance involved. I hate maintenance!
I will probably stick with grass for a bit, sigh!

This is a good one. I will think on that for a while.

Ah that would be the croquet court. There is one in my plans already.
It will be where my shale mine is as soon as I finish getting out enough
slabe to last me a lifetime. That could take a lifetime:-)
It is amazing what can be accomplished on a shoestring budget over a period
of time. That 50K is over ten years and includes the shop.
