Tall buildings? I've seen it done from buildings as low as two or three
floors. ~8-)

Not bad time at all... my power flights were normally around 20 minutes or so
(I oversized my tanks when they would fit). Was that carrier mechanism
towline or hard-mounted? I've seen guys use towlines and it takes a lot of
skill on the part of both pilots.

The locals can always handle the local field... like the one I flew at. Guys
would come in from out of town and try the "proper" approach, and being
unable to find the runway, they'd finally give up and approach over the range
and wall. It always took a few passes to get the height right. What
compounded the problem is the runway was angled slightly away from the road,
so rather than being 90 degrees to the wall, it was more like 60 or so, so
the turn from the "proper" approach was slightly more than 90 degrees. Of
course, if the pilot ONLY turned 90 degrees and didn't correct on his
go-around, he'd buzz the guys at the south end of the runway.
C-ya! Rich
