actually the best way I have found to handle that problem is to overlap the
monocote onto the control surface.. this is done by moving the surface away
from the side you are covering.. this will alow for movement and all you do 
s
crease the monocote into the gap. this also makes for a very secure control
surface.. some people actually use this in place of actual hinges.. I
personally don't suggest this.. but it does work.. also on the more high
performance models it helps make a gapless joint that that can also eliminate
flutter..
