Bob,
BD>AA> You can use the Format Painter - select the cell that has
BD>AA> the initial formula, and then hit the Format Painter button
BD>AA> and highlight the portion of the column that you want to
BD>AA> change.
BD>AA> It works the same way in Excel.
BD>I couldn't get your idea to work in Word or in Excel. I don't understand
how
BD>it could. Format painter deals with formats, not formulas.
BD>Could you give an explicit example of your idea that works?
Um, I guess I'll have to doublecheck it - hope I haven't given incorrect
info. I haven't had to do it in Word for a while - but I know it can be
done (I did recently have to do it in Excel).
