Hello,

I grew up with the edit -> compile -> run cycle, so I
tend to edit my source code using an ordinary text editor. I have also seen
IDEs that want to maul source code, sometimes with very unpleasant results.

As part of a college internship, I'm currently working
with php (served up by Apache and talking to an IBM DB2 data
-base) on an IBM i5 minicomputer. I'm thinking of trying
Zend Studio because I'm not getting useful run-time errors from php and
Studio is supposed to have some kind of built- in debugger.

What do you use to edit your php source code and why?
