Hello Peter, nice talking to you !
PG> or should I say "Handcuff"
You have been doing some serious mail reading.
PG> Looks like you're still a snowbird after all. I thought
PG> you sold the ol' homestead down south.
Nope, I sold out as you wrote, but I still Telnet to Doc's
Place out of habit. I got to it when in FL when I was on DUN and
when I went to cable, I telneted to it and the setup stayed with me
since. I still have Juxta as a back up and go there at times just
to clean my mail.

Was this not a good exemple of friendly "rapport" between
users ? That soldering entailed some very fine and precise
handling. That Compaq was forever freezing and when it totally
died, it was given to me. You can see the others had the same
problem. It now runs like a trooper.
PG> Back at you, JP. No need for a modem really as long as the BBS you're
PG> wanting to call is on the internet. Just Telnet into any one of them.
PG> Juxtaposition, Doc's are all Telnetable.
The BBS that I was trying to see is Com-Aid in St-Laurent. My
first BBS. The phone still rings, I get a handshake and then it
hangs up. I should call Gerry just to say hello.
Godspeed.
... I will get this old Compaq
... going again. Fun it is !
