Hi, Dave...
DO> I'd like to know what coverings folks are using for A/C
DO> & which paints.
DO> Also the reason why.
I've been involved with building and flying R/C for about 40 years
now and have used Super Coverite polyester fabric for the last 20 years
(or whenever it first appeared) - I started using it because the grass
fields we fly on (which didn't get mowed too frequently) contain strong
weeds which puncture the plastic film coverings. The fabric is much
stronger and weighs only a little more than the plastic. Since I like
to do my own colors and designs, I use the white fabric and spray paint
with polyurethane enamel paints - they're fuel-proof. I've also used
the epoxy enamels (like Hobbypoxy) - they're very good but just a little
expensive for the big birds I build. Write again and tell us about you
and your hobby interests. TTYL - Roger
