The information about your Grandfather is something that I've always
found particularly disturbing.  Alcoholism bothers me no matter who
or what kind of person is experiencing it, although it disturbs me
more when the alcoholic is a Native American.  I keep feeling a
mixture of anger and regret -- anger that conditions have been such
that far too many good people sought refuge in alcohol, and regret
that so many felt powerless to alter their circumstances.
One irritating characteristic I have is that whenever I start
talking about something that has angered me, I tend to get angry all
over again.  Like now.  I'd better end the message before I start
shouting at the monitor....
