Hi Don
I can't give you any directives on flying that machine.  I have crashed mine 
six times and four of them I was doing exactly what you are doing.
I use my frozen pond for a street though.  I have yet to get a plane into the 
air but I don't try very hard either.  You are on the right track though, 
looking for a club.  have you checked with your local supplier as to where 
there might be a club?
