Well, we have AIM. Somewhat reduced in potency if you ask me, but they still
exist. I think we're moving to the next level of activism now, that of active
political presence.***************
I have just recently called my local American Indian Association offices to
get myself active volunteering in the community; my dad has been at it my
whole life and encourages me and anyone else with an interest to do the same.
Look in your phone book under American Indian Association, and if there's
nothing there try calling your local Episcopalian, Lutheran, or Unitarian
churches and ask them if they can put you in contact with people in the local
indian community.
