In the TCP/IP->Yournetworkcard properities you have to set your IP
number and netmask under the 'IP address' section (select 'specify
an IP adress' radio button). In one computer, you can choose 10.0.0.1
and in the other 10.0.0.2. In the netmask, choose 255.255.255.0 in
both computers.
Now close all, reboot the computers and try to do:
ping 10.0.0.2 (from the 10.0.0.1 machine) and
ping 10.0.0.1 (from the 10.0.0.2 machine) (under a DOS window).
If there isn't 'time out' messages, everything is ok.
BTW: If you want to share printers and files, you have to install
the NetBEUI protocol.
VT> Sory for bad English :(
Mine is worst :(((
