True, true, but we're finding our voice and getting louder, especially as the
disenfranchised ones in cities step forward as activists. It's like two
sisters; the traditional sister stayed home and took care of the home fire,
the runaway sister got lost in the world, and angry. Together the family can
be whole, and stronger.
I'm 1/8 NC Cherokee and 1/4 Apache. Don't know much about the Apache side
though; my grandpa was an alcoholic and not a very nice or communicative
person. He might have been a good man under different circumstances, but
the white world does break people.
