DS> I have a USR Sportster 28800, and speed is set at 57600.
I too have used Qmodem T.D.4.52 for several years and for the BBS'ing
I do I much prefer it to all of the new, improved programs that I have
tried. I have used it with 2400, 14.4, 28.8 and 56k Sportsters and,
using exactly the same settings you have posted, it has performed
flawlessly, both in pure DOS and under Windows 95, connecting reularly
to many different bbs's using different bbs software.
Have you tried calling other BBS's to see if the same problems occur?
Maybe the trouble is with the BBS; have any other users experienced
problems since the changes?
Incidentally, I have tried RTS When Writing both OFF and ON And I can't
really see any difference in performance.
... Nothing like slitting your throat with the cutting edge of technology.
