subject: Qmodem TD, error reset

I have been using Qmodem TestDrive 4.52 since I started modeming. It
has been a great program for me, and I even returned a commercial
program that did not work as well (and ate the shipping costs).
Lately I have been having a problem that might just be inherent in the
program, or it might be that I do not have something set right.
The primary BBS I use recently made some major changes (in phone lines
and in BBS software) and ever since then, I have been getting errors
on downloads with some degree of regularity. That would not be so bad
if Qmodem would recover from the errors as I think it is supposed to.
  What happens is
  CRC error,
  Sending ZRPOS
perhaps a few other error messages, but then a total freeze. Only
hitting the ESC key to cancel has any effect.
It does not handle restart / overwrite of file at all either, same
effect if I try of several cycles of error messages, and then freeze.
I am using SIO com drivers with OS/2 Warp 3.0, at FP26.
  Some of the toggle settings:
  Xon/Xoff flow OFF
  CTS/RTS flow ON
  RTS when Writing OFF
  FIFO during Shell ON
  Lock DTE Baud Rate ON
  High Speed Xmit ON
  16550 UART Enable ON
  Init ignores CD OFF
-- and under Options, runtime parms
  EMS for Overlays OFF
  Int16 Enable ON
  Share IRQ's OFF
  Optimum Shell ON
  -- Disk Shell ON
  Calibrate DELAY OFF
I have read (and re read ) the DOC file on these settings and
twiddled around with those I am not sure of.
I have a USR Sportster 28800, and speed is set at 57600.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
