I had 3 hits for SRIF in this echoarea back to 2006. So it looks like it was never a topic here.?

My ususal procedure is a full text search within an announcement echo or do a "files" request to fetch a full file list of the specific node. Then i search that file list locally with my prefered tools. In both cases it leads to the filename to be requested.

But then finding and delivery of that file is part of the mailer software?
