aid:
Having confronted Dr. David, Ed Grinnell, International Man Of Mystery,
exclaimed:
DGR> I thought the Cleveland Pittsburgh rivalry was still a big thing
DGR> until the Browns moved to Baltimore?
EG> You're talking about one rivalry among 3 teams and forgetting the
EG> others that those 3 teams lost when they moved.
That would be true if I known about them in the first place (which
I didn't). I follow a fair amount about the politics of American
Football (though not the actual games, I find them about as exciting as
yachting...), and know a fair amount of how the league evolved, moving
of teams, name and logo changes, division names (like the pre-merger
names of Capital, Costal, Century, and Central, very cute!:-) however
such nuances as old rivalries or the experiences of the players on the
field and fans in the stands are lost on me.
Sincerely Yours
David G. Riess
