Well, I won't quote your message, because it was pretty long, but it was the
one about the US open. It just finished yesterday. 13th seed Patrick Rafter
won on the men's side. I was glad to see him win. I didn't want Rusedski to
win, because of the fact that he was born here, but now considers himself a
Brit. As a pround Canadian, I don't really like to see that. But that's his
choice, so I shouldn't really hold it against him, but I still liked to see
Rafter beat him. I am also kinda glad that Chang didn't win. I haven't liked
him ever since that cheap play he made against Ivan Lendl. That was years
ago, but it was still cheap. I would have liked to see Rios get it, or
Samprass, but I am happy with the Aussie Rafter.
On the women's side, it's nice to see Hingis win. As a 16 year old male, it's
impossible to not love Martina Hingis. But Venus Williams can't get down for
not winning. When Hingis is at 100%, or even 80% she is unbeatable. And for
the 66th ranked player in the world to make it to the finals of a grand slam,
that's pretty amazing. I would have liked to see Seles in the Final though.
