this is common to any kind of zmodem transfer, no matter what kind of comm 
program you have.  it has to do with which modem has control of the flow, so 
in general your d/l will go faster than u/l if you have a good modem.  there 
is usually a difference of 20 cps between d/l and u/l on my system.  if there 
is a considerable change in speed on your system, just check and make sure 
you have cts/rts and the other proper settings selected.  if that doesnt 
help, ask the person you are connecting with to use cts/rts (hardware flow 
control).
