yes. there is something under linux precisely for that. I think it is
called anachron. You can always grab the source and recompile with emx. For
small things it is usually smooth sailing. The alternative is to build a
similar system using Rexx. Every time you boot the system, your script
reads the database of things to do, check when it was done the last time.
If the delay is passed, it does it and updates the database/flag until next
time.
