i've got cron utils and such... the problem is when the time for the event
passes while the machine is jambed or even turned off... i have events that
need to run as soon as the machine returns to operational condition...
crons won't do that... note that i'm speaking of things that may not run
but once a month or less... if the event time passes, i don't want to have
to wait for another month before it runs... i need it to run now...

maybe that explanation makes better sense now?
