subject: Swapping Problem

I seem to be having a problem all of a sudden and am looking for some help. I
am using version 1.53 (DOS) of QModemPro, and have been for several years.
Now all of a sudden, when I try to swap out to DOS from within the program,
(Alt-R) or swap into OLX, the Offline Reader (Alt-M), I get an "Unable to
Swap to Disk" message. It worked fine up until about two weeks ago so I
don't know what is going on. I can force it work work if I exit the program
(Alt-x) and come back in.
I looked at the Help file and it says that it should work if you have your
Comspec=Command.com in the Autoexec.bat. I checked and the command is there
first thing so I am not sure what is going on.
Suggestions?
I could go the route of deleting the program from my hard disk and resetting
it up, but that is a long process. I have to go the whole way back to
version 1.0 and put in all the patches to get back to 1.53, over an hours
worth of work.
I just found another error too. I tried to enter this message from within
OLX after exiting and coming back in and it did not save it when I left the
MailReader. I am starting to think I need to just dump what I have on my
disk and reset up the program. I will hold off though for a few days until I
see if any of you have any suggestions.
