I have recently gotten OFFICE 97 on my new computer.   I have Word 6.0
  for WIN 3.1 on my old computer.   When I am going to transfer files
  between the two I am getting a strange thing.
  Going from WORD 6.0 to the Word in O97 is no problem.  Works
  seamlessly.
  When I want to go from O97 to Word 6.0, a straight save does not work
  (not surprised at that).   As advised by the Assistant, I do a SAVE AS
  into Word 6.0/95.
  However -- when I go to read that file into Word 6.0, it is converted
  from Rich Text Format.    Why is it in that and not in Word 6.0??
