Craig,
CS> Generally, when I first start the programme, it comes up with a blank
page
CS>(new file), which is what I want. Just recently it has not been giving me
the
CS>blank page. Rather it just comes up with the grey background (no new
ile).
CS>As far as I'm aware I haven't changed anything.
CS>Is there a setting that I need to adjust in order for it to automatically
open
CS>a new file on startup?
... from a fellow lurker:
I can tell you how to *make* it happen ... maybe that'll help you to
figure out how to *prevent* it from happening.
If you want to start Word without a blank page, if you're starting Word
from a shortcut, right click on the shortcut, select Properties, go to
the Shortcut tab, and the Target field. After ...\winword.exe, add /n.
Presto, no blank page.
Regards,
Hasan
