It's that wonderful buzzer unit....every so often if you're releasing the
parking brake while the lights on you may get it to buzz. Most people just
disconnect them anyway. I have a CB radio on all the time (part of living in
the woods where it's your secondary telephone) and boy when you start the
truck and that buzzer goes, even the squelch on the radio won't muffle the
noise of the buzzer static.
The late 70's and the early 80's are basically the same in this area. Mine
never worked when I got it, then when I was running cable for the antenna, I
pushed in (I guess) and then it worked from then on. I'm guessing the last
owner pulled the connector out until it just quit working.
