  I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did. It's just a question of
numbers. If you have 10,000 nodes then maybe 100 of those are willing
to make the effort for the rest, and in that 100 there are 10 Hitlers.
They can't get a grip. Cut the numbers from 10,000 to 5,000 you get 50
but the 10 Hitlers are still there, and they make it so unpleasant
that the other 40 bugger off and Fascism rules okay.

  It always happens with voluntary organisations: the Hitlers take
over until someone invades Europe and burns the bastards in their
bunkers.
