 That's just it.  I still don't know.  He just said gated messages.  I thought
he implied the avtech messages, since the other one in net_dev was so long ago,
as well as it being a moot point now.
 I asked him to clarify, but haven't received a reply yet, this was a few days
ago, so I'm not likely to either.
