I'm not even in Fido.  I don't carry AVT as a fidonet echo.  I do carry
such a thing as a newsgroup though.  Good luck posting there without
getting your setup 100% right.

With the exception of the Jeff Green gate, yes.  Oh, and there's the John T
link of a couple of echos, but that is due to cut off as soon as you are
ready to leave my "Fido address".  I am waiting on you and Dieter
to get alternative methods for sending mail, and that is either you have to
move to John T's board or get your internet stuff working or live without
the ability to send messages (which is a ludicrous option).

Basically I do not have the technology to run my system as partly fidonet
at this stage, and wish to go 100% UUCP.

I've got no idea what you're talking about Bob.  Currently I do UUCP
between 8pm and 9pm, and only run fidonet to allow you to call me and send
mail.  I am happy to wait for you to sort yourself out, as if I don't like
that, I have the option to install the MSDOS software myself and let you
know what you need to do.  But I want to go 24 hours UUCP ASAP.  I could
attempt to do fidonet from 8-9pm, but I'd likely forget all the time, and
don't have the ability to make the line engaged when I forget.  BFN.  Paul.
