I hadn't thought of that. Is MEK used in solvents? I should think since
plastics have been used in guns for a while now (Glock 17, etc.) they should
have found formulas that won't melt.

I would have preferred aluminum like the original.
On the other hand, it shot pretty well when I tested it. The AR-7, by its
very nature, is not intended to be a heavy-duty rifle. It's lightweight and
cheap; if you break it, you can buy another one.
